It’s a shame you play music instead of speaking and explaining. For example, I’d get more out of you explaining why you’re putting celery with your bread rather than showing me. Like I don’t think anyone needs a demo of that but the effort is appreciated nonetheless.

I always rinse and dry my parsley and cilantro, clip the stems, and put them in 1/2 glass water in the fridge covered by a small plastic baggy. Keeps for weeks if you change water and clip bottoms 1x a week.

I used to be a produce manager and the best way to preserve your greens is to place the bottoms (cut a sliver off lettuce etc) in a very small amount of luke warm water and cover loosely and completey with a plastic bag and plave in fridge. This will also revive most vegetables when wilted. Tip.. cut milk cartons in half and use bottom to keep veggies upright

Green onions put the roots in water as soon as you get home an place in the sun on a window sill. harvest from the green tops only, change the water daily. I have kept the same plants for months .they will regrow in 2 weeks and you can harvest them again and again.

So many great tips here. Thanks folks!

  • L. Medina on March 19, 2022

Great ideas. But my only concern is when you put open containers of fluid in a fridge the compressor works harder trying to eliminate moisture. Maybe wrap the veggies around the area of exposure with clear wrap to keep the moisture where you want it, in the container.
