I'm part Chinese ancestry myself. My advice to everyone is don't trust anyone from Mainland China. Also ban all China people and flights to and from Mainland China until further notice.

Japan is playing politics. Their scientists should know that such measures are completely useless, you would need to test all passengers because of one simple reason: Layovers exist. Pretty numb brained politics at play.

This is the right thing to do, that China should have done from the very start. Before too long the Chinese will be reaping the benefits of herd immunity, and hospital numbers will be back to normal. In fact, as Covid mainly takes out the very old and very sick, hospital numbers will probably be below normal for several years to come.
