Carr signed that contract as a prove it contract. He did not and they are getting ready to move on. He will not be back. Mike White would be a better QB and come cheaper if Raiders want to want until 2024 to draft their QB.

I have stood by Carr for all of these years making reasons to keep him. Is he a good QB? Definitely, in the upper half of the NFL. After we reached the pinnacle in 2016 and he broke his ankle, he has looked skittish. Many of his sacks are due to lack of moving out of he pocket because he keeps his eyes downfield too long. In the Steeler game, he missed a lot of open throws. In a season where he has the the NFL's leading rusher and top 5 receiver, we should easily have 10 wins. Elite QBs would not be losing most of the games we have this year. I like the guy and he will fit in somewhere else but it's time to part ways if we want to be one of the best teams in
the NFL.

Not my fault, his fault. I was video taping opponents sidelines and was able to pick up some patterns, except when that new head coach & qb when there were no pattens yet, that Carr couldn’t execute.

Derek Carr's last game as a Raider was at the Steelers last week. Sad way to end his career, but he blew it on Christmas Eve. Derek Carr has had a decent career with the Raiders, but he was surrounded with more talent than lesser QB's had on offense, including the NFL's #1 rusher this year, and he threw 53%, 6TD, and 7 INT's in the last 4 games. He might do well for somebody else, in other teams that can absorb his inconsistency, but he's done as a Raider. All that said… he was the BEST QB we've had since Rich Gannon.

49ers were going to smash the Raiders regardless. Derek Carr is and always was the 3rd best QB in the AFC West. He's a top 10 QB if someone is hurt or having an off year. He's definitely a top 15 QB and above average. A less attractive Jimmy G.
Carr been in the league 9 seasons and has the same amount of playoff wins/appearances as Justin Herbert as the chargers have clinched.
