Cities and/or donators to homeless centers can donate a number of homes each year to alleviate the homeless problem in their area. But all will need to be hooked up to water, electric and sewer.

These would essentially solve the ongoing retail crisis ongoing in Canada, normal homes are going for up to 500k CDN which is presenting a huge problem for housing here, modern generations are essentially stuck with living in their parent's house for an additional 10 years past the norm due to this. Standard wage jobs will pay out enough for a house after 20+ years of working without spending a penny.
Sad for a country with more kilometers of land than people, but this sort of affordable housing would fix a lot of this and tip the scales enough to set things up for future generations and ease the impact of our current recession. Hopefully this becomes available soon.
