A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Marion county until 4 p.m.
The tornado watch that had been in effect for most of the day has been expanded to included Marion and Flagler counties in Florida.
A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes.
Be ready to take action if a warning issued.
The severe weather threat will wind down gradually through the evening. By the time this reaches the Orlando area this should weaken considerably.
