Officials in Erie County, New York, said Thursday the death toll from the winter storm has risen to 39 in the area, including 31 in Buffalo. A driving ban in Buffalo was lifted at midnight Thursday as officials prepare for potential flooding from melting snow and rain in the coming days.

So this storm effected millions of people and 39 people died. I'm just wondering how many people died across America because they were stressed out about Christmas.
Just like anyone who lives in an area of hurricanes where advanced preparedness is necessary, the same preparedness needs to happen in cities for blizzards where the power goes out. I guess this will be Buffalo city’s learning curve to do better for the next one.
