Kiev is not the main focus of Russian attacks at the moment, Kharkiv and Mariupol are. These are the cities that contain the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion soldiers. Kherson has fallen to the Russians and Odessa will come under Russian fire soon also. Many of the Ukrainian forces have been withdrawn from Kharkiv to bolster the resistance in Kiev. But once the three cities I mentioned are taken and the Azov Battalion wiped out, Kiev will not be able to continue the fight.

The military of the Donetsk People's Republic continue to reinforce the siege around Mariupol. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to attack Ukraine's military infrastructure.
