San Bernardino County residents still cleaning up after Tropical Storm Hilary can connect with county services at a local assistance center in Yucaipa on Friday, Sept. 1.
“Our focus is on helping residents and business owners get back on their feet, clean up and rebuild,” San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chairperson Dawn Rowe is quoted as saying in a county news release.
Participating county departments will include:
- San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk
- Aging and Adult Services
- Behavioral Health
- Economic Development
- Public Health
- Veterans Affairs
- Workforce Development
The California Office of Emergency Services, Contractors State License Board, Department of Insurance, Department of Motor Vehicles, Employment Development Department and the Franchise Tax Board will also be present.
Nonprofit organizations will also be on hand to assist residents.
The local assistance center will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the Yucaipa Community Center, located at 34900 Oak Glen Road. For more information, visit storminfo.sbcounty.gov.
Some parts of San Bernardino County received more than 8 inches of rain from Hilary, the first tropical storm to hit Southern California in 84 years.
