Ok morons. After a fumbled snap the receiving player is the only one that can throw a forward pass which is the qb. So after the lineman got the ball and made the lateral it makes it an illegal pass. The non call was to protect the defender from missing 1st half of natty. Either way the penalty yards would of been assessed to TCU after change of possession because illegal pass is loss of down. Don’t throw two pick sixes
Controvercial would have been adding a penalty after the game was over.

It wasn't "targeting" at the end. The runner fell into the other guy's helmet. You can't call "targeting" unless the runner maintains his movement and the other guy clearly has time to know that he is going after him with his helmet. Not the case here. Good call. It would have been a shame to have Michigan win because of a questionable call.
Looks like he hit him in the back, not in the head/neck, but it is what it is, and what it is is over. TCU wins. Congrats TCU

I'm not gonna say refs cost this game. I'm not God, but the refs as a whole were awful this game.
Michigan scored the same number of points. Too bad some anonymous guy up in a booth has the ability to overrule the refs call on the field.
I really expected TCU to be dominated by Michigan, but was pleasantly surprised! After seeing this, I'm pulling for them in the Championship game! Go Horned Frogs!
That final play was clearly targeting
Targeting has to be determined as intentional. If both the runner and the defender lower their heads at the same time, or if the defender lowers his head, and the runner get knocked down, and gets hit then it's not targeting. It may be unnecessary roughness, but not targeting.
Controversial calls happen. The game's over. There's nothing you can do. Move on.
