TikTok, the popular social media platform known for its short-form videos, is facing a massive fine of $368 million in Europe for allegedly failing to protect children on its platform. The fine, imposed by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC), is one of the largest penalties ever issued under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The issue revolves around TikTok’s handling of children’s personal information and its failure to implement appropriate safety measures.
