An arctic deep freeze and a powerful storms gripped part of the United States over several days. The number of deaths attributed to the winter storm — most of them in road accidents — rose to at least 50 after officials confirmed another fatality in western New York’s Erie County, the epicenter of the crisis.

If they're all ignoring global warming scrambling the weather this bad, at least adapt to the demise. Ignore, go ahead, but at least don't pretend your life will be normal with normal houses and normal cars. Time to replan and redesign things.

I'm honestly quite surprised that the houses are still standing with the weight of ice. I've seen many American house that don't stand a chance against the forces of nature(hurricanes and floods)
