I think Dave had more insights with Palantir than his guest did 🙄!
Also, have you checked out any of Tom Nash’s little Pltr takes lately. He may be quite a fun interview.
This company doesn’t sound attractive at all. Sounds like it won’t be able to scale quickly. The only potential benefit of this company sounds like they have exceptional engineers that other companies are unable to get their hands on.
Great interview, Dave. So many insightful questions, and it really shows how much you've done your homework.
I've been bullish on Palantir's long term prospects for quite a while, but this conversation did open my eyes to the fact that Karp is no Elon. Though brilliant, he is not as driven, nor as clearly goal oriented, which will make it more difficult for investors to value on a forward looking basis.
Even more importantly, Karp is not building the public meme of Palantir's mission to a fraction of the degree that Elon has, which will actually have a profound impact on the stock's performance (not necessarily the company's).
That said, it makes it difficult to allocate money to Palantir at the opportunity cost of investing more into Tesla for the foreseeable future.
To the point at around 38:00 minutes.
Alex Karp has talked about why commerical.

Got a sense from this guy Palantir Vision that he doenst really know his stuff tbh. I researched the stock like 30h and got a feeling I know more about it than him.
Mostly hearing drums about experience, best talents, full stacks, strategic, bla bla bla. Not convinced!
35 mins in im getting a Therinos vibe.. Reminds me of how the “sharks” laugh when they get pitched “the TAM!” Run dont walk…
This kid is too young. He needs to get some worldly experience and perspective.
Dave, appreciate your work!
I think dave already knew all the answers to the questions he was asking
The guest didn’t seem to have the depth in the company that Rob and Dave had in Tesla. In his defense he doesn’t have a lot of details available anyway nor has he tried the product. He has a general concept drawn out.
Thank you Dave and Jackson! Wonderful discussion and presentation on an incredible company.
You're a smart guy Dave. Thanks for having Jackson on. He did ok but your insights and interview questions were very good. Also, you have a great WebCam, which is it?
Great questions Dave…well done Jackson…
Jackson and Dave, how they do stock based compensation is not diluting the shares, that's at least what Tom Nash mentioned https://youtu.be/JPvrf_Rx1uU at 4.50
How is it bad Palantir helping ICE finding illegal immigrants?
Just a lot of talking, still don’t understand what this company does. When people talk Tesla, I get it. When people talk Palantir, it’s just a bunch of meaningless buzzwords without any substance.
It sounds like at this point there is a lot more friction to initially working with PLTR compared to Snowflake.
I wonder how and if PLTR plans to deal with that for consumers.
Good interview. On ethics, I recall instances where Google and Microsoft had employees rebel at working for the US Govt but with active contracts helping China with development. China is “all in.” All AI and analytic tech can be abused. And it will be. But at the base, there are more controls in place against abuse in the west than the east. Besides, look at the showroom Tesla opened in a controversial Chinese province. Uyghur children go hungry and lose their parents in a similar manner as Afghan children.
Buy more shares. They are doing something that nobody can. Software.
Jackson is awful, he can't even explain the SBC properly.
Jackson needs Dave's camera.
50k views in 3 days. Noice!
2500 long @23.02 average. Hoping to double my position in the next week!
I have yet to see anyone frame Palantir as a Defense/Tech Company instead of continuing to go with a Tech/Consultation company. In this perspective, Palantir begins to make SO MUCH more sense, particularly moving forward. LMT and others create products for the private sector, but that is not their focus and does not need to be.
*small edit: Many of the answers are the same circular responses you hear from just about everyone, including Palantir themselves. The vague responses and secretive nature are exactly why I lean towards budding defense company. Add in unusually clear statements when discussing defense, see the Regan National Defense Forum, I would argue they are actually communicating their real focus.
Can you get into when pltr projects to be profitable?
Hard to follow this guy.
Of course the US government should be strong but vote Republican
Thanks for having him on. I think he brings some great insight. I actually increased my position.
Dave, I know you don't typically do cuts on interviews, but man. This interview probably has the most filler words, uhhs, umms, etc. Majority of your questions went unanswered too! One of the worst interviews on your channel IMO. It felt like he's just on Palantir's marketing team 🤷♂
I love your Tesla videos. I don't have time to watch non-Tesla videos.
still not convincing enough too vague of a company.
This was so valuable. What a video. I’m glad I found you guys. Subscribed.
I think what Dave said PLTR is short of clear vision and milestones.
Not quite the rich content that I’m used to seeing on this channel. Nothing against Dave or kid who seems like a nice person, but this looks like Dave teaching the kid. This discussion also summarized my conundrum with owning PLTR shares. I really want to like this company as I think they are onto something. Traditional companies don’t have a good way to manage data and more so have multiple systems that can’t talk to each other seamlessly and get to data drive decisions. I am hoping PLTR can create a software stack that is easy to deploy and scalable. Also, Alex Karp talks a lot but doesn’t give any specifics. Maybe it’s a wishlist. Need to be cautious on this one.
Thanks Dave for steering. Hopefully PLTR leadership is watching.
In the last 2 years more data has been created than in all the rest combined. Let that sink in…now you have a company in Palantir that has tuned their offering to allow clients both small and large govt and commercial to ingest that data and optimise it to create efficiency at scale.
I was more convinced about PLTR before I saw this video. This interaction creates more doubts than conviction. Thanks, I need a reevaluate my PLTR position
Slo many investors looking for the new TSLA
Many ignore solids stocks like SONY and TSM
Thanks Dave and Jackson for the interview. I have been looking to do some research on Palantir and this has been very helpful. Dave, your interviewing style is awesome! No disrespect to Jackson, I understand that he has conviction much like I do for Tesla but I felt a bit underwhelmed by the bull thesis that was presented. Was it only me or did others feel that too?
I am looking for the next 10 bagger after Tesla. I am going to a bit of my own research but I was not convinced based on this interview. 🙏 you two.
Good questions Dave. PLTR seems promising but without direct experience without their product ill pass on investing. They need to prove themselves more before I pull the trigger, even if that means buying in at a significantly higher price. Too risky right now.
