Summary of this tutorial:
Start by installing and acticaitng the Simple Calendar Google Calendar Plugin then go to the Calendars, Settings page.
For the calendar to work you would need to get an API key by vising the Google Developer Console website and clicking the create new project button.
You will need to provide a name for your project, it can be anything you want but something that helps you identify it would be best.
You would want to enable APIs and then under the Apps APIs you want the calendar API enabled.
Go to credentials and create a server key and provide a name for it.
Now Go to your calendar dropdown and share the calendar as public to get the calendar ID that you will need.
Now go to Calendars, Add New and you will be able to set up your calendar. #WordPress #WordPressTutorial #WordPressTips

Thank you. This was super helpful and easy to follow. I'll probably be visiting this channel again soon.
Great Tutorial
At 6:50 where you hover the one event in your inserted calendar, the content of the event is obscured by the white background to the event – exactly as happens on mine. How do you get the text in an event to show up without having to click the "see more details" link?
Can others add to your calendar? For example, a customer sees a free time slot for dentist appt, could they add to my event calendar? Thanks in advance.
Hi!
Nice tutorial, but google change all look of the pages, and i try few times step by step use your tutorial in practice, but it's doesn't work 🙁 Can you record this tutorial again – but in 2019 ? 🙂 Help please 🙂
Thank you so much for this video. I was able to create the calendar on our website with your tutorial. I very much appreciate you sharing this.
This was very useful. Clearly explained – even for a novice. Many thanks.
This plugin is no longer maintained. Don't waste your time.
Some features have changed, but this video will still guide you through adding a google calendar effectively. Straight forward and easy for beginners.
Great tutorial.. but also, great voice work. I was so relaxed after listening to this 😛 You should do just do a YT channel where you read random stuff.
Congratulations! Thank you so much for your help!
I love this, but I think it needs an update… I finally got there, but most of the google pages looked wildly different from this. (As this is 4 years old, it is entirely possible a newer version exists…)
Thanks for your assistance!
sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but does the simple calendar for google calendar have a side bar plugin for upcoming events? like here: https://www.huntingtonvt.org
Great, thanks so much. Still the correct process in 2020, with some cosmetic changes…
Hi, is there a way to have potential clients book appointments?
I have a question: if I have a calendar that is shared with my family (I.e. we have all subscribed to each other’s calendars) and I put only mine on the website. Will that create a site where everyone’s schedules can always be seen up to date because I have subscribed to all of them?
This seems much more complicated than simply creating a shared calendar in Google and copying and pasting the embed code into a webpage. Is there any particular benefit to installing the plugin and going through all these extra steps?
Congrats. It's very good. Just a doubt…. Can i make changes in my calendas from website or just logged in Google Calendar?
I can't thank you enough. Who else is here in 2020?
Hi will this remind me for bookings placed on my WordPress website meaning when customers book on my WordPress website will it automatically go on my google calendar and remind me accordingly
Thank you for this tutorial. Would users on your site be able to download the calendar details on their phone?
Thanks!
I have Google Calendar Pro and I need to add multiple calendars to be displayed on the website as one combined calendar…. any references?
thanks for the video, but my site uses elementor and for some reason, I don't get to view the calendar settings when I click add new calendar. Can anybody help with this?
Thank you a lot for this amazing video!!! I could add the APIs to my webpage
Is it free to use?
Thanks so much, very helpful video!
Very good your explanation, congratulations.
It's what I was looking for. Only a question:
I only need to configure the plugin once, and from then on
setting will my google calendar changes reflect automatically to wordpress?
