Start by installing and activating the Restrict Author Posting plugin.
On a user’s profile page there will now be a ‘Restrict Author Post to a category’ section where you can choose which category they will write to.
The next time a user writes a post they will be informed about this restriction.
Set the restriction to ‘No Restrict’ to remove any restrictions.
