What is there to say about man’s best friend? Evidence shows that humans domesticated dogs more than 30,000 years ago, helping them keep watch around the campfire in exchange for food. It’s a unique symbiotic relationship that blossomed into something truly beautiful. Now there are entire industries, films, and television shows dedicated to our four-legged family members, and it shouldn’t be too hard to see why. From Golden Retrievers to Golden Doodles, howling Beagles to shaking Chihuahuas, and proud Shiba Inus to droopy Basset Hounds, there are more breeds of pooches than you can shake a finger out. But what about the odd and usual breeds? Join us for today’s video, as we countdown the top 15 most unusual dog breeds!

  1. I’m a dog sitter in GA and keep a Lagotto Romagnolo a few times a year. She’s a major “Velcro dog” (she has the hair for it so it’s fine), and men are not her fave beings. She’s also a major food thief and dumpster diver. All that being said, she’s a great snuggler and very sweet. She gets along with the other dogs I keep, as well as my own 14yo doxy mix. She’s definitely a fan fave.

  2. I worked for 11 years in the veterinary field, never saw any of these. The most unusual dog I saw was a mini-husky type that our lead vet tech bought and had shipped after a long period of waiting. It was called something else, though, not a mini husky. These are all beautiful dogs
