California is the only state that frequently has flooding and landslides while still being "in a drought". Logical fallacy.
So this is good news, right? CA has been in a drought. Guess higher fuel costs are changing the environment for the better, right? Maybe all those flight cancellations are helping the weather.
we had 3 of these events this last winter in New Zealand…..being trapped between two highs, one to the east of the country, one to the west…..spinning nonstop while drawing wet humid rain down from the tropics for 3-4 days for each event…..never before have I witnessed this….but we sure got some good flooding…..on the positive side and after 5 years of drought…..our water reservoirs got filled to capacity.

See this is where we need to build infrastructure to collect as much water as possible. Filling Lake Mead, and other reservoirs. All that solar and wind turbine energy when it's not needed could supply the energy to move that water around. That would be a huge economic impact that would last for centuries. Jobs in construction, maintenance, farming, stored energy, livestock, and water purification.
