  1. It is known as the “Pineapple Express.” It’s a normal event that brings warm subtropical moisture into CA. Skiers don’t like it because snow levels go above 8000 feet and the snow is very wet. Drought busters. Flooding in LA Basin. Those of us born in the 40’s and 50’s remember this as a yearly event.
