As a Hong Konger, I am confused about the dish.
Really didn’t see thing cuisine similar to this dish.

However it’s looks good if it does not call Hong Kong cuisine.

I heard my ancestors crying when the dumplings burned .
This isn't authentic the contestants and judges should educate themselves in unfamiliar cuisines and shouldn't call something Hong Kong style when it's not.

how sad, this def is just western take on asian food lol

You must be an absolute noob to burn dumplings. No offense I'm not even remotely a cook. In order to achieve that level of burnt you literally have to be cooking them for 20 mins after it has the right colour. So in essence she left it on the stove for about 40 mins without looking at it and she didn't use and oil that's why.

I’ve never eaten this but I can just tell that as a Chinese American, this duck with dumplings would be my favorite dish ever.

    Disgusting and not even Chinese.
It's truly infuriating to see all of these Westerners calling cuisine Chinese willy nilly.
