Summary of this tutorial:
Start by installing the Email User plugin under Plugins, Add New.
With the plugin installed and activated there will be an Email Users area added to your menu items.
You will be able to send individual messages to specific users or you can send a message to user groups.
You will be able to add your subject and message, and even select specific user groups to send your message to.
If you go under Email Users, User Settings you can even prevent emails from sending to specific users.

you didn't mention if the mail will come from wordpress or sitename, but i am trying now. Some times WP will send emails to my users with their name WordPress…I will just feel likr sinking into the ground each time they tell me they got a message from WP.

i don't get the pull down menu that allows me to select SUBSCRIBER. can you let me know what im missing?
