Excellent job explaining all this – i come from years of using the classic editor but easy to see this new block way is going to be really helpful – biggest thing is picture gallery thanks and good job
So much good stuff here – learning blocks for the first time so very helpful – converting for the classic – just wish there was an index so when i want to see XYZ again i can just go there –
Really helpful overview – thanks very much
the plus button on the top left corner and in block setting ,it is asking to select block, what should I do?
How do I add content to columns, and flow content from one column to the next, rather than having to post separate content in each column?
very informative
Hello ma'am,
In Classic editor, we had Visual and Text option.
But in Gutenberg, I see only normal visual like editor.
In Guttemberg, how we can get html version of any contents written so that we may be able to modify according to our requirements ?
In Classic editor, we use to write contents in Visual Tab and if we wanted html option of any contents, we use to Text Tab, copy the html and modify according to our requirements.
Please help.
With regards,
Vivek Kumar
You are a PRO. I am super confused on what to do with my blog as I was not happy with its layouts. But this video helped me. I was using elementor in blog post and it was driving me crazy. I will stick with Gutenberg feature. thnx
This tutorial was quite helpful! I was excited to learn about adding a featured image and also about the media & text block! Can't wait to use them:)
This is a brilliant tutorial. I was using classic editor until today, because I didn't like the new block editor.. well, because I didn't know it! Now I am really excited! Classic editor is gone for me. Thank you very much.
Now this is what I call a tutorial!! So well explained and presented, great job!
"Everybody loves an orange button" 😂 I don't, but since it's WPB I get your point. Thanks for the refresh. I've become a bit rusty.
Super helpful! pasting the embedded content and dragging things seems to be most useful ones.
Very good. Thanks!
I'm to put together an online newsletter for a small local charity I volunteer with, and this is just what I needed. Very clear and helpful. Thank you.
Hi there, tq for the great video. May I ask, how to create overlapping columns ? I want two images to overlap a bit, but I could not find any padding or margin function …
really thankful for this amazing guide
Hi, it may seem a stupid question…. but how do I find Gutenberg on my Latest V 5.7.2? I have no indications of it. If I make a new page or post it comes up with the classic editor only.
Thanks so much! I've been dreading converting to Guttenberg. Now I'm not! There are a lot of great ease-of-use features.
PLEASE make a playlist named Gutenberg Blocks and keep updating it with new videos as WordPress releases new blocks.
WordPress is adding features really fast and it's hard to catch up.
I miss the classic editor. My drafts and preview page in the block environment are quite different and fixing them has become a thing worse than a child's under-bed monster.
Thank you for this. Two quick questions please. 1. How can I link a pdf file in a paragraph block? 2. How can I organize my images into folders in my media library? Thank you!
Thanks for posting. I had used the classic editor for years and was almost ready to ditch WP when I tried to make a recent post. Thanks for the info.
Thank you Christina, I am an avid fan of yours.
I have search both plugins and wordpress.org for:
Advanced Gutenberg – Blocks, Permissions, Layouts, Forms and CSS Styles
but I canot find the one by: Advanced Gutenberg ?
Complete beginner here so this might be highly common sense question 🙂 when you want to create web page templates like the kind you can buy on etsy is that straight coding to create those?
How do I add footnotes?
Hi, great video. What I'm wondering though is how can I reduce or elimate spacing between some blocks if I want to?
Does the title has any config? Like font size, text alignment, color…? I see there's just one single way to write titles… Thanks!
do I like madam ofc I would like
Its easy to add a block and reuseable block, etc. But how do you delete a block? So frustrating….
Someone please tell me why my wordpress page doesn't look like that. How do I access the Gutenberg side of things. I have envato newsroom theme
So me, as a theme dev, i dont need do something, bcs everything is done 😀 okay
I'm a beginner at this so barring the use of CSS , the editor doesn't seem to give you a lot of control over placement of objects or spacing between them.
This is one of the best tutorials on the block editor that I have come across. You always explain things in such an easy to understand and follow method. Thanks, and keep them coming. 🙂
You didn't show how to sign out… it took me agaes to NOT find it!!
Amazing
thanks a bunch!
after watching your video, now i understand why i should stay on classic editor
Thank you!
